Throughout October

Duluth is rich with history and with history typically comes some dark secerts. Join The Duluth Experience on as they shine light on Duluth’s history – gunfights, murders, riots and even some of the local haunting legends that might be othewise fade inot the past. Experience Duluth in a completely new way!

Superstition Tour: Ghosts of Fairlawn

Tuesday, October 29th, tours start at 7 p.m.

Tour the darkened mansion with flashlights, and learn about the ghosts of Fairlawn, along with some bizarre Victorian traditions. Tours last approximately 30 minutes. Please bring your own flashlight. Admission is $10.00 adults, $8.00 seniors/college students, $5.00 youth. Not recommended for children 5 and under.

October 25-26

There is something for everyone at this Spooktacular weekend event from a drive-in movie, to a parade, kids’ pumpkin patch, a Grandma’s Marathon Spooky 5k, the Goin’ Postal Art and Music Festival, vendor/craft show, finished off with a Halloween pub crawl!

Great Glensheen Pumpkin Hunt

Visit Minneosta’s #1 visited historic mansion this October and see the estate lit up for Halloween. During tour hours there will be 9 pumpkins hidden throughout the mansion and estate for kids (or kids-at-heart) to find for the month of October. Tours are perfect not-so-scary Halloween activity for families. There’s even a fun prize at the end so you can declare your pumpkin-hunt mastery!

Fall Colors Train Ride

Hop on the Lake Superior & Mississipi Railroad for a fantastic fall foliage train ride. See parts of Duluth that can only be seen by train. You’ll see views that overlook the 12,000 acres of the St. Louis River. The train runs Saturdays and Sundays throughout Ocotober 20th. It departs at 10:30am and 1:30pm each day.
